A study published by Stanley Gaines, Jr. in the Journal of Social and Personal Relatioships shows that when male/female pairs exhibit or withhold affection there is little change in how they respond to one another. Likewise, if the pairs show each other respect there is little change. But if one person withdraws respect, boy howdy! Houston, we have a problem. People need, want, crave, require — RESPECT!
Vic wants to show people respect, but is a little confused about how to send the right signal. For example, he thinks a woman might have a little something wrong upstairs if she gets offended when he tells her to shut-up. He claims that it is only a nice “shut up”, you know, playful, loving, full of sweetness and light and hope for the future… Give a listen, see what you think.
